High quality European boxlock double rifle, Belgian made, imported by Abercrombie & Fitch, New York. Barrels marked 7.5x30 AK74 on the bottom of each barrel, with full complement of 1950’s to 60’s era Belgianproofs. The barrels measure 26” and are of medium weight and show three-leaf folding rear sight graduating at 50, 100, and 150 years, with raised milled 1/3 rib, raised front sight base which is milled to match.The action is signed “Francotte, Liege”. The boxlock action shows a crossbolt lock, double-triggers, auto ejectors, blue and case hardened finish, lightly scroll engraved, nicely checkered select walnut stocks withfancy checkered panels on each side of action. Modern hard-rubber recoil pad added in European style. The rifle remains in very good plus to near fine condition with 98% plus original blue thinning on edges andsights. The frame and action show 90% plus case hardening just drifting slightly. The stocks are very good plus to near fine with some minor storage marks, slight handling, minor use.
