High quality English sidelock sporting shotgun by Watson Bros, London, in its original case with trade label in lid. The gun is 12ga, with Damascus barrels, black powder proofs, double-triggers, patentejectors, serial #6132. The gun shows 30” barrels, English style straight stock, with finely engraved action, browned barrel, case hardened frame and locks, blued triggerguard, nicely checkered and stocked in selectwalnut. The barrels show engraving “Watson Bros. 29 Old Bonds St. London” with Watson Bros. finely engraved on each side of lock. The barrels show 30-50% of their pattern and browning with some scattered light tomoderate erosion and pitting. The frame shows 30-50% dulling case hardening drifting to a grayish patina. The triggerguard and release lever show 50-60% original blue. The word “Safe” is gold inlaid on the tang and the gun shows best English quality. The stocks are lightly refinished to good condition with refreshed checkering. The stock measures 14-1/2” to the end of the wood, 15” to the end of the old added checkered horn pad. The
