High-grade prewar German double-rifle, with hand-detachable claw-mounted scope, signed “C. Guntermann Hofbuchsenmacher Dusseldorf”. The gun shows 9mm bores and shows Prewar German proofs. No markings as to caliber, but we would estimate it to be 9.3 by 72. The gun shows an unusual reinforced breech with double locking crossbolt system. The breech end of the barrels are marked “Prima Krupp Steel”, and marked ‘Fluid Steel’ in German. The release lever is marked Gustav Kersten’ Verschluss, probably who patented this locking mechanism. The gun is also marked 3.59 GPB on rear of breech, and 108/40 on the bottom of each breech. The gun shows a W.Bischoff marked 4x81 power scope which is fitted to this rifle on claw mounts. The rifle further shows double adjustable triggers, folding rear sight, side safety, blue and case hardened finish, lightlyengraved frame, standard grade stocks, with monte carlo type cheek piece and American hard-rubber butt added. The gun remains in good used condition with 20-30% original blue and case hardening, evenly worn to patina in
