High grade Merkel double-rifle in .222 Remington caliber, blue and satin grey finish, finely scroll engraved with sideplate action showing high relief engraved game scenes with gold stag and doe. The rightsideplate shows high relief scenes of dog on running boars. The breech of barrels is finely engraved in scrolls to match. The barrels measure 24-3/4”. Double triggers, standard extractors, iron sights, milled full raised rib. The gun is stocked in select walnut with coarse checkering, monte carlo cheekpiece, English European style small swivels, composite buttplate. The gun is serial #413482 and factory marked to caliberon the bottom of each barrel and showing Suhl proofs. The gun weighs 8.7lbs and is in fine to excellent condition showing little to no use, at least 99% to near new. From the Robert Petersen collection. Est: $6,000 -12000
