This is an excellent High Standard Supermatic Model Target semi-automatic pistol chambered in a .22 long rifle caliber. The High Standard Supermatic was manufactured from 1954-1957 with this being a second year of production circa 1955. The pistol shows a 6.75 inch round bull barrel with integral stabilizer and provision for weights; filler strip installed. The firearm is referred to as the Third Model with S-101 and matching serial number on slide. The piece has checkered brown plastic target grips with flared base and grooved for right handed use. This shows a matte finish frame with grooved grip straps, matte finish on edges of slide have a serrated grooved top and the barrel and slides show a gloss blue finish. This comes with two very good factory unmarked two tone 10 round magazines and two very good barrel weights (small and large). The piece is in very good near mint condition with 99% of finish and only slight handling marks. Marked on left, "SUPERMATIC - HI-STANDARD" and right "S-101 - 487912 - HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP.
