'Model 104,' an American made vintage blowback-operated single-action semi-automatic target pistol chambered in .22 Short, manufactured circa 1949-1950 in Hamden, CT. Known as the 'First Model Olympic,' it is a deluxe top of the line target pistol that is an adaption of the Model GE for .22 Short. Pistol features a polished blued finish, a 6-3/4" tapered barrel with an integral muzzle brake, barrel drilled and tapped for barrel weights, ramped fixed partridge front sight, Davis micrometer adjustable rear sight, serrated take-down push-button, serrated slide stop on right side of the frame, left side frame mounted serrated color manual safety, serrated grip straps, serrated heel magazine release, serrated color-case curved trigger with adjustable stop, and two-piece checkered hardwood with right hand thumb rest and brass Hi-Standard medallions. The pistol markings are color filled, and are sharp and legible. The original blued finish retained is approximately 98% with very light scattered scratches. Metal displays no deformation, but there are a few very small spots of rust observed on the frame, and right side of the barrel by the chamber. The action is smooth and crisp, and the wood grips are excellent. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Pistol includes manual, paperwork, and an attached barrel weight. This pistol would be excellent without the observed rust.
Condition is NRA Good.
