High Quality Army Artillery Officer's Visor Cap. The cap is an approx. size 58 and is made of high quality field/gray doeskin wool, with a dark green wool center band and red wool waffenfarbe piping. It features a silver frosted alloy cap eagle,with an uncleaned patina. The wreath and cockade are made of hand embroidered silver/aluminum wire, which is on a dark/green wool backing. The cockade has a red wool center. The chin cords are made of silver/aluminum wire, and are held to thecap via two pebbled aluminum side buttons. The visor is made of black fiber, with a light green cross hatched underside. The lining is made of light/green rayon, it retains the celluloid sweat diamond which is marked "Stirndruckfrei DeutschesReichpatent". The sweat band is made of green/gray leather, and is solid, and complete, and features the owner's initial's "PW" on the liner. The edge of the cap/sweat band has a black velvet strip, which circles the cap completely. There are abofive moth tracks, on the top of the cap towards the rear. If not for the tracking the cap would rate as excellent condition. As it is, the overall condition is very good. Est. $600 - $1,200
