High Noon Western Americana Auction

Auction Details

High Noon’s 24rd Annual Auction of cowboy, Indian, Vaquero, Historical, Hollywood and important items of the West. Includes and array of both historicl and sterling silver mounted Edward H Bohlin, Keyston and Visalia parade saddles, plus an historic 19th century Walker & Wegener (San Francisco) saddle. This year Hollywood cowboys sparkle the offering with James Arness’ Gunsmoke TV series six-shooter, Tom Mix’s personal chaps and John Wayne’s riding saddle from his last and arguably best film, The Shootist, co-starring Lauren Bacall. In the American Indian category High Noon will feature a broad assortment of Northern Plains beaded and quillwork, a 19th century Plains Pipe Tomahawk with beaded drop, plus collectible and usable Navajo rugs, bridles, concho belts and fine gold/silver buckles. For art lovers, the auction brings to market very special John Hampton bronzes, WHD Koerner, Will James, Lon Megargee and Ed Borein artwork. For the purist of Western collectors, there will be fine bits and spurs from Texas to California, a collection of horsehair bridles and highly detailed Mexican saddles.
