'Model H-B Second Model,' an American made vintage single-action semi-automatic blowback pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle manufactured circa 1948 in New Haven, CT. This is a duplicate of the Model 'B' which is pretty much a copy of the Hartford Arms 1925 Automatic. This type was manufactured between 1948 and 1949. The main difference between the Model 'B' and the 'HB' is the external hammer, and a slight change to the front sight in this case. Pistol features a blued finish that has a polished barrel and flats, with the contours matte, a 4-1/2" round barrel, fixed serrated front sight, dovetailed notched rear sight, serrated curved trigger, smooth grip straps, serrated heel magazine release, left-side frame mounted serrated safety, external hammer with checkered spur, 'type-II' takedown with a right-side frame mounted lever that has a knurled round pick-up, and two-piece black checkered hard rubber grips with the 'HS' monogram. The original blued finish retained is approximately 85% with thinning along the barrel and grip straps, scattered edge wear, and some light scattered scratches. The displays minor deformation in the grip screw slots, and the pistol shows small scattered spots of rust and pin-prick pitting. The action seems to be sound, and the bore is bright with very good rifling. The hard rubber grips are excellent with dirt in the checkering.
Condition is NRA Good.
