<B>Hessler X111I $5000 Loan of 1846 Bond Good.</B></I> We have not seen anything from this 1846 issue during our many years as professional numismatists, and would not be surprised if this bond was unique in private hands. This issued example printed by Rawdon, Wright and Hatch of New York has a large repair on the back, a repaired cancellation hole with tape, plus several other small repairs along the edges. Still more internal holes and edge tears are found on this rare bond that was redeemed in March 1856.
