This beautiful mahogany and black lacquered sideboard in the Japonaiserie style was made by Heritage approximately 20-30 years ago or more. Measures 78" wide by 21.5" deep. Top surface is 32" high and the top cabinet measures an additional 5.75" high. Features felt-lined drawers and a large flatware drawer with felt cloth cover. Front doors feature Japanese landscape designs depicting mountains, birds, flowers and trees. Overall condition is excellent, but the top could use a gentle cleaning and thorough polishing. There are no deep scratches, gouges or dents, but the piece does show its age and thus has light scratches and nicks here and there. Top has a single-piece cabinet with five drawers which can be removed. Heritage brand name label remains on inside of one drawer and printed on the felt flatware cover. A new sideboard of this quality and style would likely cost anywhere from $3,500 to $4,500 from Drexel Heritage and fine American makers.
