TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, October 31, 1935. Letter to General L. L. Krzyzak, in full: “I would be glad if you would add my appreciation to the many others which you will present on Mr. Paderewski’s seventy-fifth anniversary. There will be no real history of Poland written that does not accord to him the highest place in the establishment of its independence and in the foundations of its Democratic government. Mr. Paderewski not only enjoys the esteem of all Poles but he enjoys the affection and devotion of the people of all nations.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. The fame Ignacy Jan Paderewski earned as a revered pianist and composer enabled him to become a major spokesperson for Polish independence, serving as the country’s foreign minister and prime minister in 1919.
