Desirable guest ticket for the third day of the 1928 Republican National Convention in Kansas City at which Herbert Hoover was nominated for the presidency, 4.5 x 2.75, neatly signed in fountain pen, "Herbert Hoover." Accompanied by a transmittal letter from Hoover's secretary Bradley D. Nash, dated September 8, 1928. Also includes several pieces of unsigned ephemera from Hoover's inauguration and presidency, including an oversized official invitation to the inauguration on March 4, 1929 with an Inaugural Committee envelope, a Congressional invitation to the Inaugural Ceremonies, an official "Inauguration Ceremonies" program, a yellow ticket for admission to Capitol Platform B for the Inauguration Ceremonies, a blue ticket for the President's Stand to review the Inaugural Parade, portraits of President Hoover and Vice President Curtis with facsimile signatures below, two White House admission passes and an invitation for a reception held on January 26, 1932, and two White House envelopes.
