Herbert Hoover signed photo from his 1928 Presidential campaign. The candidate similes broadly in the photo and signs ''The Kind Regards of / Herbert Hoover'' across the body of his dog, King Tut, and extending into the white border area at the bottom. Hoover reportedly took Tut with him on the campaign trail where he distributed this charming image by photographer Herbert E. French. Hoover acquired Tut in Belgium while he was running a post-WWI relief organization under Woodrow Wilson. 1928 also happened to be the year that National Dog Week began. Glossy photo measures 8'' x 10''. Creasing to corners and tiny tear to right edge and bottom right corner, else near fine.
