<B>Herbert Hoover: Inscribed and Signed First Edition of <I>The Challenge to Liberty</B></I>.</B></I> (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1934), first edition, 212 pages, blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, 8vo (5.5" x 8"), no dust jacket, protective Mylar sleeve over boards. Inscribed and signed "<I>To Allen Sinsheimer With the Kind Regards of Herbert Hoover</B></I>" on the front free endpaper. Housed in a custom quarter leather slipcase with floral decorative boards, gilt spine titles, and five raised leather spine bands. The book is in very good condition, with moderate shelf wear present.
