<td width="100%">
Wonderfully proportioned Mahogany and mahogany veneered Hepplewhite Butlers Sideboard having center Butlers desk flanked by two drawers over two bow fronted doors. The top edge has a double string inlay encasing a fruitwood inlay. The legs taper to the floor with a full length string inlay sometimes seen on Rhode Island peices. The string inlay is the back drop for a well exectued bell flower inlay to the tops of each leg. The center drawer is fronted with a book matched veneer which reveals a Butlers desk interior of six pigeon hole compartments below two side by side drawers. The only apology we found for this piece is an old blemish running 3 inches long near the right drawer pull. The key is present . The hinges are original. The brass pulls appear to be original and are in the correct holes. The secondary woods consist of white pine and poplar -also more common in the Rhode Island region. Proportionally accurate, this piece measures just 67 inches wide by 25 inches deep (on center) by 39 3/4 inches high.
