Enormous archive pertaining to the life of Field Marshal Sir Henry Maitland ''Jumbo'' Wilson, who fought in both World Wars and became a close confidante of Winston Churchill. Archive was compiled by David G. Chandler, a military historian who died before completing Wilson’s biography. Includes handwritten speeches by Wilson, notes marked “Confidential” regarding the “Atlantic Pact'' and WWII correspondence between Churchill and FDR regarding Wilson’s command. A complete inventory of archive’s contents is included with the lot.
