Original vintage 4.25 x 6 Samson cabinet photo, signed in black ink, “Henry W. Longfellow.” Reverse of photo bears a faded but mostly legible signature and inscription, “Mme. Blanche Roosevelt, from her friend Henry W. Longfellow, Cambridge, June 1, 1880.” Double matted and framed, with both signatures visible, to an overall size of 14.25 x 16.5. In very good condition, with trimmed top edge, clipped lower corner tips, image side bears a crack to right side, (through a single letter of signature), several creases, last name a shade light, but still legible. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
