A Retrospective exhibition of his work was presented at MOMA in 1946 and at the Tate in 1951. Other retrospective exhibitions were at the Forte di Belvedere, Florence (1972) and at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (1983). In 1977 The Henry Moore Foundation was established in Hertfordshire, England. He died there in 1986. He is known as hugely important in the world of 20th century art. *
