Henry Fonda Original Artwork
Besides being one of America's greatest actor's, Henry Fonda discovered drawing, painting and watercolors during breaks in filming. He was extremely self-critical of his work, and didn't allow much of it to be framed, distributed or God-Forbid... sold. This is a rare treat for Fonda fans. During the filming of "There Was A Crooked Man" (1970), Fonda, in his role as Woodward W. Lopeman, had a lot of time on his hands, and found himself doing a great deal of drawing. For fun, to counteract his "ahh-shucks... all American image", he used to at times like to draw more "racy" material. However, he usually always tore up his "artwork" after showing it to select friends on the set. This is such a piece. A framed drawing in ink and pastels from Henry Fonda that he made while shooting this Warner Brothers film. It was retrieved by one of the crew members, who pasted it together and had it framed. A photo of the crew member with Henry Fonda on the set of the movie is attached to the back of the frame. Comes with a note from the crew member. A true one-of-a-kind! Frame is approx. 19" x 13".
