Deringer agents Wolf & Durringer operated out of Louisville, Kentucky circa 1859 - 1872. German silver dovetailed blade front and notch rear sights, with "WOLF & DURRINGER/ LOUISE KY./ AGENTS" on the upper barrel flat, and "DERINGER / PHILADELA" and a starburst "P" stamped on the silver banded breech. "DERINGER/ PHILADELA" is marked on the lock plate, with engraved lock, bolster, hammer and tang. Bird's head stock with tiger striped grain, fitted with German silver escutcheons, engraved tip and buttplate, with coin silver engraved accent plate, reverse plate, trigger guard and inscription shield marked "Bennie." behind the tang.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel shows a mixed brown and gray patina, with darkened case color on the hammer and lock, and light handling marks overall. Stock is fine, with a few cracks and areas of fill, loose furniture, and mild scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically very good.
