Blade and notch sights, with a zig-zag flanked "P" and "DERINGER/PHILADA" on the flats of the breech plug. The address is repeated on the scroll engraved lock, with additional engraving on the hammer, tang and furniture. Checkered stock, with a wood ramrod, birds head butt, teardrop butt accent and an inscription shield marked "WSM/V.C.UT.TERR.". Ut. Terr. is presumably the Utah Territory (established 1850-Statehood 1896), though the remainder of the inscription is unknown at this time.
