This beautiful transparent pocket watch was made by Henri Berney-Blondeau, a well known watchmaker from the Joux Valley in Switzerland, Berney- Blondeau has deep roots in the long tradition of meticulous craftsmanship that caracterise this special place.
It was the Chinese philosopher Lao Tze who counselled :
" Do not concern yourself with what is already big. Look for something that is young, small and promising like a bamboo shoot " and added : "Look for big things while they are still small. "
In the context of the big mergers and acquisitions which have marked the watch industry in the past few years, the wisdom of Lao Tze can very well be applied to Berney-Blondeau.
