Poignant AQS, in pencil, on an off-white 5.25 x 3.25 card. Keller writes: “Musical vibrations make my whole body sing like a wind-harp. Sincerely yours, Helen Keller, Little Rock, March 1916.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original envelope addressed in another hand to Craige McComb Snader, Philadelphia, and postmarked Little Rock, March 25, 1916. Also accompanied by an original four- page, 8 x 10.5, printed brochure publicizing “The Most Remarkable Lecture Ever Given, Helen Keller and Her Teacher Mrs. Macy (Anne M. Sullivan)…for the Building Fund of the Penna. Industrial Home for Blind Women, Broad Street Theatre [Philadelphia], Monday, May 15th ….” On page four is a notation listing ‘Out of the Dark – Helen Keller’s Latest Book.’ The book, ‘Out of the Dark,’ a collection of her writings, was published in 1913, indicating her lecture must have been given on Monday, May 15, 1916. Folds indicate this brochure was most likely sent to Craige McComb Snader in Philadelpia on March 25, 1916, with her signed note.
