TLS, two pages, 8.5 x 11, July 13, 1924. Letter to Betsy, in part: “Teacher and I have been speaking at meetings for the sightless all the spring, and now the plan is for us to start on a nation-wide campaign the first of October…it seems good sense on our part to rest this summer for next year, which bids fair to a strenuous one…Teacher and I have taken a tiny cottage by the sea where I hope we shall be undisturbed long enough to rest our bodies and compose our thoughts. I long to play with grey old Neptune and ‘feel the sea’s pulse mine, my breath the wind’s breath!’ My birthday passed delightfully. I had the usual picnic with my deaf friends, and it seemed to me we had more fun that day than ever before, which proves the truth of the saying that the more one tries to give pleasure the more one has.” In fine condition, with moderate intersecting folds. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
