Pioneering archaeologist (1822–1890) best known for his excavations at the ancient sites of Troy and Mycenae. Unsigned handwritten note in ink by Heinrich Schliemann, penned on the front of his personal 3.75 x 2 calling card, which reads: "Dear Sir, If you will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Mycenian Museum in the Polytechnical School…I shall have the greatest pleasure to explain everything to you." In very good to fine condition, with scattered light staining.
