Nazi Reichsführer (1900–1945) who controlled the SS and the Gestapo and who was one of the most vocal and virulent anti-Semites of the Third Reich. He committed suicide with a cyanide capsule while awaiting trial at Nuremberg. War-dated DS, in German, signed “H. Himmler,” one page, 8 x 11.5, March 14, 1945. Untranslated three article document of Der-Reichsfuhrer-SS letterhead, boldy signed at the conclusion by Himmler. A couple small separations along intersecting folds, scattered light toning and soiling, and punch holes to left edge, otherwise fine condition. From late in World War II, this document was signed the day before Himmler began secret negotiations with the West to end the war—without Adolf Hitler's knowledge. A historically important document, and most likely his last official order as head of the dreaded SS.
