Nazi Reichsführer (1900–1945) who controlled the SS and the Gestapo and who was one of the most vocal and virulent anti-Semites of the Third Reich. Promotional document boldly signed at the conclusion in blue ink by Himmler. In part (translated): “SS Brigadeführer Dr. Richard Wagner, up to now having an Army rank of Reserve and R.O.A. Unteroffizier, has been taken over by the command of the Waffen SS effective April 6, 1944, with the rank of SS Reserve Oberscharführer, whereby the level of his education has been taken into consideration.

2. Effective April 20, 1944, SS Reserve Oberscharführer Dr. Richard Wagner is promoted to the rank of SS Reserve Untersturmführer of the Waffen SS and being transferred to the Command of the 13.

3. He will be carrying out duties in accordance with special orders by the SS Reichsführer.”
