Introduced in the 1980s, this is a semi-automatic variant of the G3 Rifle. Hooded pin and rotating drum sights, with the standard markings on the magazine well and forearm mounted folding bipod. Secured to the top of the receiver is an Odelft HV 5x80 AT night vision sight with an A.R.M.S. clamp on rail. Textured sniper pattern stock, with adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber recoil pad. Also comes with a standard style buttstock. During the First Gulf War, several Iraqi units were equipped with Odelft night optics, resulting in Odelft's parent company, Delft Instruments, being banned from bidding on U.S. contracts. Consignor notes state that the scope in this lot was among those captured from Iraqi forces.
