Heavy barrel half stock rifle signed “A. Baker” on back-action lock. Showing double barrel keys, heavy octagon barrel, single trigger, brass and German silver mounts, nicely checkered at wrist, peep-type rearsight, hooded front sight, nicely inlaid with German silver eagle and shield on right cheek piece, reclining stag on left cheek piece. (Note: Unusual feature in the fact that is has a right and left cheek piece).Approx. .52 caliber. 53” overall, 37” barrel, which measures approx. 1-1/4” across the flats of the barrel. The rifle remains in good to very good condition with a natural patina on the metal surface and traces of the original colors. Some light to moderate pitting and erosion. Stocks good to very good with some minor marks, stress crack, abrasions and normal aging, good checkering, and some fancy grain to the wood. Est: $900 -1800
