Heavy Tibetan silver tripod incense burner decorated with exquisite silver ornament hammered in high relief. A suspending silver chain is attached to the tripod vessel. Each leg of the tripod is decorated with a mythical animal resembling a lion. The handle of the cover is in shape of vajra (thunderbolt). A gargoyle figure is featured on the sides of the vessel. The lid is decorated with 2 dragons separated by a lotus bud, roaming amongst clouds. Distance between tripod legs: 12" (30 cm.). Diameter of the lid: 9.5" (24 cm.). Height: 11.2" (29 cm.). Estimated value: $15.000. Very rare museum quality art object!.
