The darkly patinated, thick blade likely has some iron content, which often separates out and moves to the surface. Some iron rust seems integral to the blade and not from outside corrosion. 3-1/4" long x 1-5/8" at its widest, there are two piercings for secure pinning of the Chisel onto a handle. The burial patina is impeccable, and there are no flaws to the heavy artifact. Zhou dynasty.
