<B>Haunt of Fear #16 (#2) Gaines File pedigree 3/9 (EC, 1950) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> Outrageous copy, even for the famed Gaines File stash. The second issue was notable for featuring the first appearance of the Old Witch. Johnny Craig was the cover artist for the first few issues of ECs horror books; this is one of three he did for this title. Craig, Graham Ingels, Wally Wood, and Jack Kamen provided peerless story art for this issue. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $1,825.
