Hatfield Percussion Rifle .50 Cal NVSN
Some years back, Ted Hatfield began building a good reproduction Kentucky-style rifle down in St. Joseph, Missouri. The gun was a close copy of rifles built by his great-great-grandfather, Moses Hatfield. This is the same Hatfield family of the notorious Hatfield-McCoy feud from Kentucky and West Virginia. Full select curly maple stock with cheek rest, 32" octagonal barrel with German silver front sight blade, adjustable rear sporting sight, double set triggers, brass tipped ramrod, two cock hammer action works well. Bore looks very good, strong rifling, dusty. Slow twist barrel. stock is very good overall except it has two slivers of wood out on both sides of the tang. Well balanced.NRA Condition-Very Good. Antique Firearm.
