Composer for musical theatre, best known for composing the music for the longest running musical in history, The Fantasticks, which ran off-Broadway from 1960-2002. AMQS on an off-white 6 x 4 card, signed at the top “Harvey Schmidt.” Schmidt pens the first two bars of music and lyrics to ‘Try to Remember’ from his musical The Fantasticks, dated at the bottom, “24 October 1969.” Horizontal crease under signature and a bit of light toning, otherwise fine condition.
