''Memoirs by Harry S. Truman'' signed first edition set. Two-volume set comprises ''Year of Decisions'' and ''Years of Trial and Hope'', covering Truman's presidency during WWII. Published by Doubleday & Co., Garden City, NY: 1955. Truman inscribes the second volume upon its fly-leaf, ''With best wishes to Wilson Morris / 12/16/59 / from / Harry Truman'' in black ink. Both volumes are bound in black cloth boards with blue and silver lettering, and top edges green. Both show toning to endpapers and fore-edges. Dustjackets are absent. The first volume has a prior owner's inscription written in ink on the front pastedown and the second volume shows moisture damage to rear board and backstrip, with some lesser damage extending to the front board. Overall very good.
