Signed and inscribed on the half-title page of the first volume, “To Edward W. McDonough, Kind regards from Harry S. Truman” and on the half-title page of second volume, “Best wishes to Edward W. McDonough from Harry S. Truman.” In very good condition, with the dustjacket of volume one rating lesser with several small tears and discoloration from past exposure to moisture, and volume two showing a block of heavy toning to the top of the front of the dustjacket and fore-edge pages.
