Letter to Mr. James Truman, in part: “I found your son on the cruiser Augusta as I went over to Europe to the Conference and had a very pleasant visit…He told me of your Kentucky connections and it leads me to believe that there may be some family connection. I have a cousin in Independence by the name of Miss Ethel Noland…I would appreciate it if you would write her and give her your Kentucky connections, particularly your grandfather.” In very good to fine condition, with two blocks of light toning, and some scattered light foxing. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
