TLS, one page, 5 x 8, personal letterhead, November 10, 1964. Letter James A. Farley, in full: “Thank you very much for your good letter of October 15th. I appreciated your writing me as you did and I am glad you feel the way you do. I am glad you kept in touch with Clif. I seem to be getting along all right and I hope to resume my full schedule in a short time.” Matted and framed with an artistic depiction of Truman to an overall size of 21.5 x 18.5. In fine condition. During the first two administrations of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Farley simultaneously served as Chairman of the New York State Democratic Committee, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, and as Postmaster General. In 1947, President Truman appointed him as a senior commissioner on the Hoover Commission, where his work ultimately led to the development and ratification of the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution.
