In full: “I’ll certainly be pleased to see Colonel Mueller when he comes to Washington. If there is anything I can do to make his visit pleasant, I’ll be glad to do it.” In a handwritten postscript, Senator Truman adds: “Just write Ed McKim to come to Ft. Riley and bring Harry Vaughn [sic] so I can try a pair of fives.” In fine condition, with two punch holes to top edge and a uniform shade of toning. Truman and Vaughan were Colonels at reserve officers summer camp at Fort Riley, Kansas in the 1920s and 1930s.
