Truman has added the postscript: “The sergeant has been with me all day. He’s feeling his oats and I’ve got to do something about it. My best to Walter Smith & Mrs. Snyder”; seven unsigned letters, each dated 1943, from an unidentified individual on a variety of topics; a 1943 press release from Truman’s office as chairman of the Special Committee Investigating the National Defense Program; and a program from a 1943 Truman speech entitled “Manpower Need of the Armed Services.” In overall very good to fine condition.
