In part: “I don’t think I receive a Christmas letter that I appreciated more than I did yours. It was certainly kind and thoughtful of you to write me as you did on December twentieth. As you know, people in my position get more kicks than compliments in the mail and when a letter such as yours comes along it gives me a lift.” In fine condition, with scattered wrinkling and a tiny smudge at the end of his first name. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
