Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 19.5 x 15.75, February 8, 1946. President Truman appoints Al W. Hosinski as a "Marshal of the United States, in and for the Northern District of Indiana." Signed neatly at the conclusion by Harry S. Truman, and countersigned by Attorney General Tom C. Clark, who, when his term was completed in 1949, was nominated by Truman to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. The lower left retains the bright gold foil Justice Department seal. Framed and in fine condition, with heavy fading to Clark's signature.
