Early western film star (1878–1947) who earned an Oscar nomination for his non-western supporting role in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 MGM publicity photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, from his friend, Harry Carey.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of October 25, 1941, the date the signature was acquired.
