<B>Harry Borgman - "Drawing in Ink" Cover Illustration Original Art (Watson-Guptill, 1977).</B></I> Harry Borgman worked as an art director for Chevrolet, and also served as the Chairman of the Advertising Department of the Art School of the Society of Arts and Crafts (later renamed Center for Creative Studies). In 1977, with years of experience in the field, he wrote "Drawing in Ink," for Watson-Guptill publications. This finely detailed World War I dogfight scene appeared as the cover and also as "Demonstration 2. Crosshatching with a Pen" (on pages 54-61) of the book. Also included in this lot is a watercolored "blue line" illustration of the scene with the line art printed on an acetate overlay. The image area of the art is approximately 16" x 12" and it is in Excellent condition.
