Harrisburg, TX - Briscoe, Harris & Co. $20 UNLAn important note from this scarce issuer, and one of only a handful of notes of this denomination known to exist. It is the first Briscoe, Harris & Co. $20 that has reached the market in recent memory. It is unlisted in Medlar, where only $1, $2, and $3 notes are recorded, but draft notes that were payable in Baltimore were issued in denominations of $5, $10, and $20. This extraordinary note is unsigned and undated, and grades a solid Fine+ although there are a couple of unimportant edge tears that are barely noticeable. The opportunity for specialists to obtain this denomination may not come around again for a long time, and we expect spirited bidding to produce a realized hammer price that reaches or exceeds $2500.From the Steve Ivy Texas Collection. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
