Harper Lee typed letter signed on 28 February 1994. Lee is responding to being sent a new novel, ''Tuscaloosa'' by W. Glasgow Phillips from her friend, ''...Dearest Bill...'' She compares the author to ''...a young Coleridge, that's what you've got...get down your old Eng. Lit. book and re-read Kubla Khan. You'll be haunted by familiar territory... [signed] Nelle''. Lee also confesses to being, ''...overly enthusiastic. My friends say I am sometimes prone to over-praise to which I plead guilty...'' 11'' x 8.5'' letter is in fine condition.
