Harold. E. Wilson Ltd Ed. Photograph Bald Eagle
Offered in this lot is a Harold. E. Wilson Signed Limited Edition Photograph Print, "Bald Eagle" , #18/500, 1984. The Bald Eagle is a bird of prey found in North America, and has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782 and a spiritual symbol for native people for far longer than that. The American bald eagle is perhaps the most majestic and revered of all birds of prey across North America. Chosen by our forefathers as a symbol of strength and pride for the United States, and honored and respected by Native Americans for centuries, this beautiful bird is perhaps the most famous of all birds of prey. These regal birds aren't really bald, but their white-feathered heads gleam in contrast to their chocolate-brown body and wings. They are found throughout North American including the Baja California peninsula, Canada and Alaska. Bald eagles evoke images that are matched by few other animals. At the apex of flight, serenely perched on a tree or boldly diving toward prey, they are at once fierce, majestic, powerful and independent. This professionally mounted photograph print is in very nice condition, the triple-matted and hardwood frame is in good overall condition with minimal scuffing exhibited on the edges, no other obvious marring noted. Visible art measures 12.75"W x 19.25"L, frame is 21.25"W x 28"L approximately.
