Noted pianist (1873–1951) who toured and recorded prolifically. Vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 portrait of Bauer, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Mr. Reginald Stewart, with best wishes, Harold Bauer, Toronto, 1929.” In fine condition, with some old tape residue in the top border. Stewart (1900–1984) was a conductor, pianist, and music educator who served as musical director at the University of Toronto's Hart House during the 1920s, and led Canada's first radio orchestra.
