An uncorrected galley of the original, unproduced teleplay that won the Writers Guild of America and Hugo awards. Numbered 4 of 12 sets of bound proofs produced for pre-publication reading by the writers of the Afterwords. A photo of Ellison signed "<I>Harlan Ellison</B></I>" is affixed to the front cover. <I>The City on the Edge of Forever</B></I> was the penultimate episode of <I>Star Trek</B></I>'s first season, but Ellison's script was heavily edited by the show's producers.
